Definitely a TAB joint, but it's cheap and has an internet cafe...

Not really worthy of a big review, downstairs at Sweeney's is basically a small corner pub with TAB and pokies, which thrives purely on the hardened drinking and gambling crowd. We've been there a few times, but basically it's as a wind-down after spending too much at nearby Venue Music (three members of the team play guitars of some persuasion). The crowd can be a bit surly, and most are regulars. The beer is cheap, there's a 'bistro' attached, but we wouldn't go out of our way for a visit.

Upstairs has a cocktail bar and apparently a cybercafe, a review is scheduled for later.

the review gives a good idea of the main bar- if you are willing to give it a go- the 2nd floor bar is much better and the Thai bistro has possibly the biggest pub-menu in Sydney - outtanding food at a very cheap price -cheap drinks and I hear the trivia night is a no-brainer

One of those pubs you call into when you know you just can't be bothered walking further for a better pub...

The free wireless internet here is going over to a paid service on 28 Jun 2004. Oh well, that means I've got only one reason to go there now. Proximity to the office
