The Sports Bar is a great place to visit when you are keen on all sports. Like their slogan says if it is televised it is on in the sports bar. Open 24/7. I like it they theme their room according to the biggest sporting matches on. But hey what would I know...sports fanatics you need to get down there if you really want to understand.
Not only are the patrons fanatical about their sport but so are the staff. It is the only 24/7 hotel that I have been to that have an actual board with all the sporting infromation colour coded. I wanted to watch the basketball and it wasn't on one of their BIG SCREENS so i asked the manager on duty if they would be showing it. She immeadiately found me and my friends a tele and changed the programing so i could watch it...needless to say i consumed far too much alcohol whilst the game was on and ended up staying for the soccer too.
The toilets are clean, the staff are friendly (meaning by drink number 2 they knew what we were all drinking and who's shout it was up to) and there is 24 hour security who are friendly and funny too. I rate the Sports bar quite highly as a greaat venue to enjoy both quiet and loud drinks with friends whilst watching your team win.
review by: CaziiThe Sports Bar is part of the Crest Hotel, which runs
The Goldfish Bowl and the Peppermint Lounge, among other things. Really, there's not much to distinguish this place. It's like a very small Shark Hotel, mostly young clientele intent on pool and video games. It's brightly lit, the tables are wobbly stainless steel affairs and most everybody is well on the way to drunkenness.
We shot a load of zombies on the video games before deciding we'd had enough and moved on. Not really somewhere where we'd become regulars, then...
