Mill Hill Tavern

The Mill Hill is a local's pub. You come here if you're from around the corner and can't be bothered walking any further, or if, like us, you're passing and just can't be bothered walking any further. There's a bit of a focus on sports here, with Fox Sports blaring out on several screens when we visited. Being a daytime visited it was quiet, and no-one was much interested, so we sat at the bar and had a couple of schooners and chatted. One fairly notable feature is the discount bottle shop, which seems to do a pretty good trade for this part of the world, but really, unless we lived right next door we wouldn't frequent it much.

Only good for a spot of pool after work with a couple of mate/you live right opposite the road staff are extremely rude and unfriendly. This will never be your local! Mind you teh wedges are yummy!

Went there for the karaoke on Wednesday, pretty busy with about 80 in the front bar. The back bar is about as big, with pokie amchine sand 2 pool tables. Noticed a really handy looking kitchen, and plenty of tables at which to eat. What struck me was the friendliness of the locals - seemed like the pub was taken over by a new husband/wife team about 6 months ago - been repainted and is now looking very nice inside, proficient barstaff, but the regulars were, as I said, very friendly. The karaoke was really good too - I thought this would make a great local for people in the area....
