Light Brigade
open and airy, often packed

2a Oxford Street

(corner Oxford and Jersey Road)

(02) 9331 2930

More pubs in Woollahra >>

Located near the Centenial Park area of Paddington's Oxford street, it is known to most as a "Rugby Pub", and still carries the same rage of its "previous brethren". But known to most now as "The meat market", this mostly middle class pub holds its own, whilst revellers and out-of-towners make their way to this renowned site.

Fancy playing a Pool game or 2 on Competition night? Or take the chance to catch up or meet a new friend during the pub's quietier hours? Fancy a meal with that date or even a nice bottle of wine? The Light Brigade has the means to make or start a night.

mixedspice from clovelly
went on a tuesday night and it was busy but not packed. sat out the back to chat, then moved to the front to play pool. attractive, laid-back mid-week venue.

Jason says:

I think it's at it's best in the afternoons, either in a window booth watching the world go by, or sprawled on the couches in the back bar with a beer and some wedges.
