... to Hart's, having fallen at the first hurdle on every previous attempt. How we could have tried four or five times and found the place closed every time is beyond me. But this time we made it, and found to our delight that Harts is a very neat little pub, with plenty of space and a feel almost as if it's been recently converted from someone's house into a bar. The beer selection is a little eclectic, I feel, but a solid pint of ale never goes amiss. There's plenty of seating upstairs and down and it's not too loud for a decent conversation. Unfortunately I'm possibly a little too impaired to give a really accurate review, since the visit was at the end of my farewell drinks before moving on to a new day job, but hey, I like this place!

great place for a drink, suckiest place for a feed. first the good, great pints off the tap but avoid the guiness, its much watered down and the consistency of the liquid no where near the good stuff from ireland! now the bad, we first asked for food at 5:30pm, was told kitchen not open yet. asked again at 6:00pm and same answer. tried once more at 6:30pm, and after some confirmation between the bar guys, was told still not open still. by 7:15pm, we headed out to grab food elsewhere, did notice table of many ppl next to us magically had food in front of them, after some 20 min of not finding somewhere to park our backsides, we came back to harts and upon seeing more ppl tucking into their food, we tried to order once more and told once more, kitchen is CLOSED. i asked when was it open? no one can tell me, i related the story where i've been requesting food every half hour since 5:30pm, they shrugged and tried to tell me, they've only just started the shift which was bull, as it was the same guy whom at 6:30pm told me the kitchen hasn't opened it. what made it even tougher to "stomach" was, fresh food were being delivered to other tables as we walked out for the second time. this was my fav. pub in sydney, not sure anymore.

Great little pub. Intimate atmosphere and still lively enough to get up to some mischief

great pub. good atmosphere, heard of renovations before world cup. great feel of local pub rather than inner-city snob hole
