a beautiful people's place

Clovelly Road,

Clovelly, otherwise known by those who knew it 15 years ago as, Poison Joe's. A place which is no other than a beachside beautiful people's place. A kitchen of great food and great balconies to view until you forget, because its too far to get home to anywhere so you stay and drink until it closes. Three levels of bars and rich young couples who are happy to just look at the sea. Girlies drink trashy coloured mixed drinks, while the boys enjoy the beer. review by an ex-barmaid.

Glenn from Clovelly
Great pub, great location but sadly the land lord is arrogant and the pub is all about sport. Food is good though. Dont' go on a Mon, Tues or Wedn because if its not busy the land lord closes early. I have been on a Wednesday night and there we 20 people drinking, went to get another drink and was told the pub was shutting early 9pm, not enough punters. its a joke, he is quick to take your money on a busy night but quick to shut early if its not creaming in the cash, whatever happened to service to the locals?
