... and let me tell you, it's certainly alive in here. The Stoned Crow was chosen as the meeting palce for the most recent Curry Run, so about 15 of us rocked up on Thursday night for a full night of it. Pre-meal the pub was lively and chatty, with a band setting up in the corner as we ploughed our way through many a pint of (very good) Guinness and many a schooner of Redback. Comments like 'reminds me of many a pub I was thrown out of in Britain' were bandied around and everyone was happy to stick with the one pub rather than rocking on elsewhere, which is always a good sign. Post-meal, the four survivors of the fifteen runners came back for a few games of pool and more beer. The band was in full swing, and yes, it was a cover band, and no, we still don't like (most) cover bands, but the pool table was empty (one was firmly out of order), and presided over by one of Sydney's ubiquitous 'dead by dawn' antelope heads. Hilarity ensued, along with much falling off chairs. The Stoned Crow is certainly the most lively venue in the area, we think, so if you're up for a noisy night, go for it. And finally, we commend the Crow on its excellent selction of beer, though the addition of Hoegaarden and Asahi would make it complete ;-)

Most of the losers of the North Shore congregate there after their second, or third divorce. Sad, very sad.

Cheap shots and an even cheaper clientele.
