While this is not a pub in the strictest sense of the word, it is a noteworthy watering hole and a great option if you happen to be in need of a beverage whilst out this way. The view is amazing, you can see the entire beach, all the way up to icebergs which has the same view in reverse. There is the option of inside or outside seating and lounges along the windows. It is just perfect (yes P-E-R-F-E-C-T!) on a sunny day and is also a wonderful spot to watch a storm roll in. There is a kitchen that provides yummy beach side fare. Seafood is a popular option, but there is also a range of tasty burgers, pasta and salads to choose from. And the price is definitely right, you can easily walk away with a hearty feed for under $15.00 – can’t complain about that. In fact it is hard to complain about the costs for anything! The beers are cheap cheap cheap and so is the wine (though you get what you pay for in this department). The staff are relaxed, friendly and quick to smile and have a chat. They have a screen that they use to show major events and they also show the odd movie during the week. It is not flash by any means, in fact it is a bit daggy but that is part of its charm. It is packed on the weekends and can be hard to get a seat, but if you hang around long enough something usually comes up. The crowd is local and friendly, without the glitz and glam. Without a doubt a top spot to whet the whistle.
