Another pub in the Merivale chain, along with The Angel and the Slip Inn, it's wedged with suits most of the time, though upstairs in the pool room it gets more casual.

The CBD is fashionable, fairly expensive and always busy. multiple levels keep the interest moving, and the service is, it must be said, excellent.

If you're going on Friday, get there early!

I've had great nights at both the CBD and across the road at The Forbes. Both can be dismal at times too and have both lost some of what made them great a few years ago.

Simply awful, full of pissed single desperate office losers dancing hap-hazardly to cheesy top 40 music and a dodgy 3-light disco ball

It was seven years ago that I got the pleasure of spending a day and night at CBD. I have traveled the world and CBD ranks in my TOP three.
