Guest Review (8 Oct 2004)

A local pub for local people. This Mosman cornerstone recently celebrated its 100th Birthday, and some of the characters that you see in the front bar may well have been there for its 1st.

The BV (or the Beeeeuna, as it's locally known) has two bars. The front bar, as stated above, is "full of character" - i.e. if you are over the age of 40 and are intent on swallowing as much beer in as little time as possible, this is the place for you. Wandering through to the back bar, it seems much the same at first, but the pool tables and relaxed atmpohere add to the ambience (or perhaps it was the 10 beers... no, it was the pool tables).

The restaraunt out the back is a bit exxy, but the BV serves good bar food at reasonable prices. Drinks are local pub prices, but the central bar arrangement is a hassle when the two sides have to share some taps.

The BV is worth a visit on either a relaxed Sunday with the footy on the box, or if you want to start your night at the bottom and work your way up. It's the kind of bar that everyones Dad used to go to. Even my Dad went here.

The new back area is very classy. Super different from the rowdy front area

I remember some great times I had here! What a place and what great people!

The best thing about the Buena is the hot girls behind the bar. It seems to be part of the hiring policy. The front bar is always full of rugby heads, cricketers and landscaping crews. The Champs bar is ruined by the new pokies setup. ugh! "bring back the pool tables".

The pictures of thoroughbred horses on the walls are great but they should be replaced with posters from the movie "Batman".

If you enjoy spending your time with prehistoric people who haven't ventured outside this establishment since the mid 70's, and have nothing remotely interesting to say because they have no grip on reality-then this is the place for you!

Pool Tables, a good place to go watch the footy when it's on. expensive restaurant, but they do have some pub tucker available too.
