Pyrmont & Ultimo

Heading West out of the city and passing Central, you reach Ultimo and Pyrmont. Ultimo is where UTS forms a hub of the area, Pyrmont is north of here on its own peninsula bounded on one side by Darling Harbour and Blackwattle Bay on the other

SydneyPubGuide.net has recently moved to Pyrmont, so expect much more content from this area over the coming weeks.

Abercrombie
Formerly the Australian
Agincourt
as much ambience as a convenience store (!)
Australian (Broadway)
TAB and Pokies. little other interest
Bar Broadway
24-hour bar with massive hangover potential
County Clare
Relaxed and moth-eaten, but damn good. Formerly the Kegroom Tavern
Glasgow Arms
very well presented
Harlequin
A nicely presented Rugby pub
Kirk On Harris
Originally and more properly the 'Dunkirk', but who's splitting hairs? Currently in the throes of a major renovation - expect good things!
Lord Wolseley
Tucked away in a side-street, a hidden local
Oscars
aka New York Hotel (on the planning applications at least). Good pizzas and ribs
Paddy Maguire's (Star City)
Irish boozing in the midst of casino tackiness
Pyrmont Bridge
open 24hrs and quite rated
Pyrmont Point
The last pub on Harris Street, previously a locals-only kind of pub, now a more upmarket establishment
Quarrymans
Now managed by the same team as the Pyrmont Bridge. Wish their spelling would improve!
