Out East, Bondi, the Bays & The Beaches

Weekend City - from the bays of the harbour's south-eastern shores to the beaches of Bondi, Clovelly, Coogee and the inland suburbs surrounding them.
This area covers a large swathe of Eastern Sydney, taking in the coastal zone round from Bronte and Bondi, into the harbour and round as far as Double Bay. Also included in this large area is Bondi Junction and it's surroundings. The area will come to cover much of the Eastern areas such as Randwick and Maroubra until our next area re-shuffle

There's plenty to choose from, from the packed, sweaty meat markets of the Bondi, Beach Road, Coogee Bay and Beach Palace to intimate music pubs such as BBs and trad old TAB 'n' VB joints
Bar Bondi
great little pub - a live music supporter
Beach Palace
hell of a view from the upper balcony!
Beach Road
An exremely popular spot among locals
Billy The Pigs
A rip snorter
Blue Chip
Main attraction? the pool tables.
Bondi Hotel
good pub - very weekendy though
Charing Cross
sporty, but recently renovated
a beautiful people's place
Coach And Horses
Coogee Bay
reputedly something of a 'meat market', but certainly a famed pub with great views
quite different from what you would expect from a hotel bar
Respite from the carnival, if you want it...
Duke Of Gloucester
Said to serve the biggest and best steaks in Sydney
Formerly the site of Billy The Pigs
Golden Sheaf
lots of space, music
Grand Hotel (Cock and Bull)
damn good guinness
Scenic really isn't the word. See and be seen.
Maroubra Junction
Mill Hill Tavern
Pretty standard stuff
Big, rangy Aussie pub
North Bondi RSL
though not strictly a pub, certainly a good venue
Robin Hood
a person could easily get very comfortable here..
Rose Bay
Royal (Bondi)
Bit of a local's pub, not overly rated by our extended team
Royal (Randwick)
a bit blokey, but not unbearable
Royal Oak (Double Bay)
Slightly spoiled by the pokies
Tea Gardens
not a bad spot when shopped out
Watson's Bay Hotel (Doyle's)
Scenic and very busy

I'm not a heavy drinker, I can sometimes go for hours without touching a drop. : Noel Coward - more quotes...
